Bathtub stunt bike11/24/2023 In fact they take away from the play aspect because they are so simple to build which takes away from the core purpose of LEGO, a building toy. The bikes are fun and I'd happily pay the premium prices for them but the loops don't add that much extra play value to justify their expense. I compared all the main Stuntz sets and while they all come in on the very high end of the price per part scale (even for the commonly expensive City sets) the two sets that contain the new track system parts are insanely more expensive. Parts and build photographs by Jared Hinton (© 2022 Rebrickable) TLDR: Stuntz sets are great and worth paying a little extra for, however Stuntz sets with large looping tracks are not worth paying a lot extra for.ĭisclaimer: Anything said in this post is the opinion of the author and not The LEGO Group. To make the point even more obvious set 60295-1 (the biggest Stuntz set) has 70 more parts and costs $60 less, those tracks are not worth $60. I don't think this set offers good value for money, especially when compared to other Stuntz sets. But can I recommend this set specifically? I don't think I can simply because of the cost. Far faster than I was expecting, easily making the loop as long as you can aim it correctly. There's no denying it, these sets are fun. There's also been a ripcord motorcycle base ( 11767) in the Legends of Chima: Speedorz sub-theme which was a really great part. The more popular pullback motors were introduced in 1990, with an updated version still in use today (you can see a list of the pullback motors in this old review here). Although windup motors have never been particularly common in LEGO sets they did go through some changes with the most recent version (61100c01) last seen in 2013. The earliest non-electronic motor part was the windup part 384 Windup Motor first found in 1981's 577-1 - Basic Set. I've been wanting to get my hands on a Stuntz set for a while, bathtub biker Sudsy Simon made it hard to make excuses not to finally get into the theme. The City sub-theme Stuntz has everything you need to replicate the high octane world of stunt biking.
